This holiday season, join Clara on a magical journey as she battles the Rat Queen, visits the Land of Snow, and meets the Sugar Plum Fairy in the Kingdom of Sweets. Children and adults of all ages will be swept away by this fantastic tale that reminds us of the wonder and magic of the Christmas season.

Presented by Magic City Performing Arts , this spectacular production brings together 290 community dancers and actors and marks the debut of Birmingham Metropolitan Ballet , the professional wing of Magic City Performing Arts. Jenna Graham, Evie Whitsett, and Luis Victor Santana Gonzalez (Mauro Ballet, Puerto Rico) will perform the roles of the Sugar Plum Fairy and her Cavalier, with Karen Johnson as the Christmas Spirit and local professional collaborating artists including Journy Wilkes Davis and Bryn Warren Davis.

This original version of the beloved holiday ballet is brought to life by Artistic Director Stephanie Rangel and the MCPA artistic staff and features original choreography for the Waltz of the Snowflakes by Roger VanFleteren (American Ballet Theatre, London City Ballet, Alabama Ballet).

A portion of the proceeds will benefit MCPA’s outreach dance classes in the Birmingham area.
